Topless Or Bottomless
JEWISH POPULATION OF THE DISTRICT, BUT EXTREMEÑOS: PIG, TO
ANDARES
But this woman has definitely lost the little sense it was! Pork is not kosher! I accept the objection, of course, pork is not kosher food. Leviticus 11:3-8 makes it clear that Jews can only eat hoofed herbivores, so the practice reduces the options to cattle, sheep and goats, but leaves out the pig (omnivore), rabbit, hare and camel (Hervás that is not usually a very common dish). However now we are fortunate to enjoy freedom to profess the religion we consider the most appropriate or not to profess any, so that in the Jewish Quarter residents can live in any religion, gnostics and atheists. Each, of course, follow the rules and precepts that because his conscience regarding the kitchen and other areas of life. Therefore we can not ignore that the Jewish Quarter is the perfect place to buy homemade sausages. Fewer still bearing in mind that this is the best time to buy them.
In all honesty, the black pudding pumpkin in this town Fortunately, you can buy almost anywhere. In no time at pharmacies, but I do not seem a bad idea: something as good, if consumed in moderation, can do damage to health and provides no little joy to the spirit. I also buy them in several stores (try to cash them take turns, I think sometimes just buy in some places and sometimes in others. Although of course I have my preferences like everyone else) to which I will not give names because someone would always was no merit, and sausages from each of those stores (some made here by those who run them and others in the area) have their special touch that will appeal more to some than to others. However, in the Jewish Quarter is easy to recover the flavors of a time: children's puddings. In many homes are prepared yet, and some of them are sold to the public. We know that in theory this can not be done. Generally respect the rules with zeal, but does not mean that considers all the rules fair. These puddings, in fact, not labeled. But enough for me to try them to eat with infinite calmer than many other products that are alleged to have passed the relevant quality controls.
"This senseless ... urging people to skip health standards," someone may think. Yes, what Shall I tell you. I do notice only a small detail: many of the European standards for food handling, particularly of sausages by small producers, are exaggerated (if not absurd in some cases. That's not counting those that reduce product quality, which was infinitely better when it followed traditional procedures more natural), but here we have the latest German dioxin scandal. And then we pork products we reviewed through a magnifying glass ... The hypocrisy is too blatant, and double standards I have never liked.
I leave you the link where you can inform you of the rules regulating the killing, provided for family consumption in Extremadura: http://sede.juntaex.es/tramitespdf/1804.
What is Hervás is practically impossible to find potato sausage, my favorite. Not only is it impossible to find someone who has made for himself and sell you some, but even in those establishments are easy to find. Last year I managed to buy only two places, and sausages were produced in surrounding villages. The reluctance to prepare is understood as the manipulation of the potato for a number of reasons we will not discuss now, is much heavier and more complicated than the handling of the pumpkin.
Pictured
you observe a black pudding pumpkin and potato. The first is the more wrinkled and dark. The second, thicker and smoother surface. Both are exquisite, now you see, now you no longer see. So you arrive just in time: before fencing, tenderly, the knife.
